Not just for the country, but for the space of That Wife as well!
I’m working on figuring out the domain thing, and the WordPress.org migration thing, and the building up an empire of bloggers that begin with “That” thing (you know, like That Husband, because he definitely needs a blog).
But every great empire must be built on a solid foundation, and it’s time to break some ground with some design tweaks.
Go ahead and give me some header feedback. Do you like it? Should I change it? What should I change it to? The little 60’s hairdo girl isn’t up for debate cuz I think she’s hot and you can’t ever make me think anything different.
Do you like any of the Kitchenaid icons below better than the one I currently have?
I just have to be patient. Krakow wasn’t built in a day, you know?

Ok this may be a dumb idea…
When I come onto your blog site, and see the hairdo thingy I for some reason start thinking of the Bewitched theme song. =o)
That said- I was thinking how maybe it might be neat if you do a silhouette take on an image of a fifties kinda girl spunky pose… then later you can add a baby carriage/hubby image… so on and so forth with the silhouette iconic images that can be conjured up from your lifes tales….
I was just expanding a little… just a little bed time thought… you can forget I mentioned it if you dislike the idea… (as I crawl back into my warm den to hibernate)

I like Katherine’s idea about changing the icon to a baby carriage/hubby image later on. A baby carriage would be so sweet.
For now though, what if you did an apron?

Knives now empire…you’re scarring me. That said, I voted for the top left one because at least you can see its a mixer.
I’m not sure what to think of That Husband’s blog. I kinda envision That Husband as a kinda, quiet and patient man. Hmmm.
I would take the others ideas too.

I enjoy the retro throwback of your header. I think that there might be other fun fonts that are retro that you could explore for a re-vamped look aside from the new kitchenaid icon–which is a great idea, by the way.

What about some pearls somewhere? It would sort of fit in with the classic retro 50’s housewife idea.
I like the top Right mixer icon the best too.

I like the new options better than what you’ve got, they are all a much cleaner read and more iconic.
The mixer reminds me of “Father of the Bride” when the Annie and Brian have a HUGE fight because he gives her a blender for a birthday present. Annie thinks it means he wants her to be a submissive wife, and Brian gave it to her because he thought someday she “might want to mix something.” So, for that reason, I actually love your icon. It reminds me of how two people can see things in a different light.

I never knew that was a mixer in your header. I kind of always wondered what that was. hehe. guess it’s just me and my aversion of kitchen appliances
